As well as carrying out commissioned research for clients, we also pursue a programme of independent research. This is focussed in two main areas.

We specialise in research on digital trends in scholarship, and the changing relationship between researchers, libraries, archives and the publishing industry.

We also have a longstanding research profile in the history of contemporary British religion, with a particular focus of the relationship of church, state and law, and the way religious organisations work.
